Information on minor injuries and skin conditions in pets
Cuts, scrapes, bites and stings, ringworm, flea-bite dermatitis and many other similar injuries and conditions affect cats and dogs fairly commonly. Though minor, these can cause a lot of pain and discomfort for your pet. Treating these problems quickly, effectively and naturally will save your pet from numerous side-effects, shorten healing and recovery time as well as prevent more serious complications like infection.
As any vet will tell you, one of the most important and first steps in addressing a wound, injury or skin condition is to keep it clean and the sooner that this is done following injury or trauma, the more beneficial the intervention will be. Broken or irritated skin is vulnerable to infection and contamination. By following a thorough cleansing routine before applying topical treatment like creams, you are also helping your pet to heal more quickly and preventing the need for more intensive medical care. As always, prevention is better than cure!

“My little dog Timmy is very active. We live in the country and he is in and out of bushes chasing after all manner of creatures. I love his energy but hate it when he comes home full of cuts and scrapes! (which is often!!) Your Clenzor and Wound Dr. have been of great help and I cannot imagine what I did without them. . Thought I’d let you know how much we love your products.”

What are the Ingredients?
- Hamamelis virginianum (Witchhazel) has been used for centuries by Native Americans as a styptic and soothing skin remedy. Witchhazel also supports the skin’s natural ability to resist infection.
- Calendula officinalis (Marigold) is an herbal ingredient used to promote skin health and healing. Marigold has been clinically shown to assist the regeneration of damaged skin tissue. (Basch E, Bent S, Foppa I, et al. Marigold (Calendula officinalis): An evidence-based systematic review by the Natural Standard Research Collaboration. J Herb Pharmacother. 2006; 6(3-4):135-59.
- Melissa officinalis is also called lemon balm and is well-known for its soothing and calming properties when used topically.
- Urtica urens is an extremely versatile herb and is used both internally and externally for its excellent cleansing and healing properties. In naturopathy, this herb is also known as a ‘styptic’ and is recommended to help reduce bleeding.
How do I use Clenzor?
DIRECTIONS
Clenzor may be diluted in water or applied directly to your pet’s skin where necessary. Using clean hands and a clean cotton wool swab, apply directly to affected area when needed. Wear gloves when cleansing the skin of pets exposed to poison ivy. Urushoil, the active ingredient in poison ivy, is very potent and remains on your pet's skin and coat long after exposure.
Clenzor may be used together with Wound Dr, Ring-Ex, PawPaw or FleaDerm.
Caution:
For external use only. Please consult your veterinarian should symptoms persist. If any swelling of the mouth, tongue or eyes - or any breathing difficulties - are noticed after exposure to poison ivy or insect bites, please seek urgent medical attention for your pet.
How long will a bottle last?
Clenzor comes in a 50 ml topical tincture. How long a bottle will last depends on frequency of use.
How long until I see results?
Cleansing and soothing results will be immediate.
